Abstract
The first M.sc degree in landscape architecture has been established more than 10 years ago in Iranian Universities. Less researches have done in the field of content analyzing by assessing its suitability and validity. In this paper content analysis in inductive approach has been used to study syllabus of landscape architecture approved by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in qualitative and quantitative approach. The few hours of theoretical and practical courses in this field are almost identical. The content analysis has been organized by applying 9 basics systemic approaches in Landscape education, introduced by Motloch (consist of naturally, management, consolidated, interdisciplinary, ethical, values, guidance, practical and economic). The results show that the lessons of "Landscape Design and Environment (1, 2, and 3)" consist of the most attention to the systematic approach to the teaching of landscape architecture. After "The structure of landscape and environment" and "environmental laws and dynamic natural systems" are the second and third rank respectively. Most attentions has been paid to the "naturally", "practical" and "management" basis and "guidance" and "interdisciplinary" basis had the least effort which represents that the dimensions of the ecological perspective is pioneer rather than social dimension. The participatory design, community design, attention to methods of field research, survey and assessment of people's behavior in open spaces and public preferences assessment and attention to the sociological perspective, in revising the courses and their goals or new ones could be considered as suggestions.
